The Event Industry Association of Ireland (EIAI) exists to strengthen Ireland’s event delivery ecosystem — from grassroots activity to major national and international events. We focus on the practical conditions that allow events to happen safely, consistently, and sustainably and on ensuring that decisions affecting the sector are informed by real delivery expertise.
Our work focuses on five core areas:
Event Safety & Delivery Capability – We advocate for proportionate, practical safety systems that reflect how events are actually delivered — supporting consistent standards, clear guidance, and competent decision-making across the country.
Policy, Regulation & Codes of Practice – We work with government, local authorities and statutory bodies to improve event-related policy, permitting systems, and Codes of Practice, ensuring they are fit for purpose, up to date, and workable in real-world conditions.
Workforce, Skills & Professional Capacity – We highlight critical shortages in experienced crew, technicians, managers and safety specialists, and support initiatives that rebuild skills pipelines, professional pathways, and long-term capacity across the sector.
Industry Representation & Advocacy – We represent the collective voice of event professionals in national consultations, committees and working groups — ensuring that policy decisions are informed by those with hands-on delivery experience.
Data, Insight & System Improvement – We support better use of event data to inform planning, resource allocation, transport, emergency readiness and long-term investment — helping Ireland move toward a more coordinated, evidence-based events system.
We would like to take this opportunity to extend a huge thank you to all the individuals and organisations who helped us get this far. We’d also like to draw particular attention to our early supporters , with no membership fees currently we are reliant on supportative organisations to keep the cogs moving.
Please like and share our website and social media accounts with anyone who has a vested
interest in the Irish events industry – the larger our membership, the better will be our chance
of achieving our goals.
Together we’re stronger.
