SEIK overview
The Sustainable Event Industry Knowledge (SEIK) project is a new initiative at TU Dublin funded by Impact TU Dublin, The National Forum of Teaching and Learning, and the Higher Education Authority. The project is led by Dr Bernadette Quinn and Dr Theresa Ryan and aims to develop teaching resources for event management students to enhance the curricula bridging the gap between education and industry.
Update on the project
SEIK has made great progress in the last few months including:
- Website
SEIK launched a website, www.SEIK.Com. We hope that the website will become the key portal for event management teaching resources co-created by the project team. The website will also feature regular blog posts and all the latest updates and news on the project.
- New podcast ‘Eventful Exchanges’
SEIK has also launched a podcast series called ‘Eventful Exchanges’. Over the coming months’ event academics, students and practitioners will come together to discuss current topics and issues in the field of festivals & events.
The podcast can be accessed here: https://www.podbean.com/pu/pbblog-p86gu-b7c5e2 and also via our website.
